Sheila Kay Adams: The 2013 recipient of the nation’s highest honor in traditional music, Sheila was presented the NEA Fellowship Award on September 25 in Washington, DC. The multi-instrumentalist, ballad singer & noted author grew up in Madison County & carries on the traditions of a disappearing lifestyle in the region. She has appeared in movies, soundtracks, TV, recordings, is a published author, a sidesplitting storyteller & national treasure. http://www.sheilakayadams.com

Jeanette Queen: One of the legendary Queen Family, she learned to play & sing in their Jackson County, NC band. Carol Rifkin: Joyously sharing traditional music, writing songs, exploring the role of women in mountain music, teaching dance or engaging people to sing along; this award winning multi-instrumentalist’s soaring sweet voice is uniquely recognizable on stage or radio (WNCW).
