Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will reunite for a 13-episode comedy called Grace and Frankie from Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman, according to The Wrap. Thirty-four years after the classic film 9 to 5, Fonda and Tomlin are reuniting for a new Netflix series about women brought together when their husbands decide to marry each other. Two-time Oscar winner, Emmy winner and Tony nominee Fonda recently starred on HBO's The Newsroom; Tomlin has been nominated for an Oscar, and has won two Tonys and seven Emmys.

After setting a new release date in December for Fast & Furious 7, Universal suggested that deceased star Paul Walker would appear in the franchise's next installment, according to Variety. The New York Daily News reports that crucial remaining scenes featuring Walker will be completed using body doubles and CGI faces. Director Ridley Scott made a similar substitution in 1999 when actor Oliver Reed died during production of Gladiator.

As for Walker, a new report says that the high-performance Porsche he was riding in was traveling up to 93 mph when it crashed and burst into flames, killing him and the driver, according to The L.A. Times. The rate of speed was determined using surveillance videos and electronic data retrieved from the car's computers with the help of the carmaker. "Investigators determined the cause of the fatal solo-vehicle collision was unsafe speed for the roadway conditions," said Cmdr. Mike Parker of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Hairspray film director Adam Shankman is attached to direct and produce a new project for HBO Films based on the life of Rose Hovick—the unstoppable stage mother of Gypsy fame—to be titled Madame Rose, Playbill noted. Madame Rose will tell the true story of the woman whose life was depicted in the memoirs of her daughters, June Havoc and Gypsy Rose Lee, as well as the Tony Award-winning musical Gypsy.

An "explosive" family feud has developed within the late Whitney Houston's family, according to Radar Online. Nick Gordon—the husband of Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina—is making threats online against Whitney's nephew ( and Bobbi's cousin ) Gary Michael Houston. It started last December, when Whitney's rapper nephew, Gary—reportedly upset at Gordon for talking trash about the family—beat him up at a Houston family party. The Broadway revival of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, which marks the Main Stem debuts of co-stars James Franco and Chris O'Dowd, began previews March 19 at the Longacre Theatre, according to Playbill. The classic, which has not been seen on Broadway in 40 years, is directed by Tony winner Anna D. Shapiro. Opening night is set for April 16; the limited engagement will continue through July 27.

Denzel Washington helped Aretha Franklin celebrate her 72nd birthday in style, and Andre 3000 and Babyface are working on new music for the icon, according to The New York Daily News. Two-time Tony Award winner ( and staunch LGBT ally ) Judith Light will co-star opposite stage and screen star Henry Winkler in the ABC pilot The Winklers, Playbill noted. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper assumed new late-night talk-show host Seth Meyers was gay when they first met at the "world's gayest gym," according to On Top Magazine. Cooper recently appeared as a guest on NBC's Late Night, where he reminisced with host Meyers, who married Alexi Ashe last year. Jose Antonio Vargas' documentary, entitled Documented, will be released in select New York and Los Angeles theaters prior to its television broadcast on CNN, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The documentary—which the openly gay Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist wrote, produced and directed—centers on Vargas' experience as an undocumented immigrant and a crusader for immigration reform. Showing in the theaters early will qualify the film for Oscar consideration.

Former bodyguard and active memorabilia collector William Castleberry claims that he has the only copy of an eight-millimeter reel featuring a sexual encounter between Marilyn Monroe, John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. According to The Huffington Post, his ownership of the film was threatened as it was among the items seized and sent to auction as a way for Castleberry to pay off a $200,000 court judgment against him. A bench warrant was issued for Grammy-winning singer Anita Baker for failing to appear at a creditor's examination last year as part of a lawsuit, The Huffington Post reported. The "Sweet Love" singer, 56, is accused of stiffing a painting and decorating company of more than $15,000 for work done in her home in Grosse Point, Mich. If Scandal viewers were stunned by the death on the ABC show's March 20 episode, so were two of the show's stars, according to The Wrap. Dan Bucatinsky and Josh Malina didn't know which one of their characters would die after a table read of the previous episode's script with the entire cast in January. "So, everyone was speculating. Then, one morning while shooting Episode 313 and after the table read sometime in mid-January, I got a call from Shonda [that my character would die]," said out actor Bucatinsky, who played gay journalist James.

Speaking of Dan Bucatinsky, he has already lined up his next gig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will co-star on the NBC comedy Marry Me. Although the show focuses on a straight engaged couple, Bucatinsky will play Kevin 2, the father to the female half of the couple and the husband to Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows' Kevin 1. Bucatinsky, who also serves as a consulting producer on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, will guest-star in the pilot and, should the comedy be picked up to series, likely recur.

HBO Documentary Films' gay-rights documentary "The Case Against 8" will receive a platform theatrical release on June 6, The Wrap reported. The Sundance and SXSW award winner is scheduled to run in theaters in Los Angeles and New York on June 6, followed by an expanded release June 13 ahead of its June 23 premiere on HBO. The film, which Ben Cotner and Ryan White directed, follows the Supreme Court case that overturned California's Proposition 8, which had banned same-sex marriage in the state.

In what would be her first new role since coming out as a lesbian, Oscar-nominated actress Ellen Page is in talks to play John Belushi's wife, Judith Jacklin, opposite Emile Hirsch in Steve Conrad's upcoming biopic, according to The Wrap. Jacklin was Belushi's loving high school girlfriend who eventually married the comedian and was left devastated by his death. Now known as Judy Belushi Pisano, she is co-producing the movie.

James Franco and Seth Rogen have done it again. Ice skater Johnny Weir's divorce from husband Victor Voronov is apparently getting nasty, according to People.com . Weir, 29, and Voronov, 30 ( who's a Russian lawyer ), married two years ago. However, Weir's complaint for divorce notes a temporary restraining order that was filed Jan. 23 and dismissed the following day. The couple also appeared in court March 5, asking a judge to dismiss charges made against Weir following a violent domestic dispute.

USA Network has renewed the show White Collar, which stars out gay actor Matt Bomer, for a six-episode sixth—although the NBCUniversal-owned network declined to confirm whether it will be the final season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. White Collar's late renewal came after the drama ended its fifth season with a cliffhanger that left the fate of former con man turned FBI consultant Neal Caffrey ( played by Bomer ) up in the air.

In an interview with SiriusXM, singer/DJ Boy George talked about everything from faith and spirituality to the passing of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, according to a press release. Of Hoffman, George said, "[For me], you have compassion because you're an addict. People can be unforgiving. But it's not a vocation. It's not something that people choose." Talk-show host Wendy Williams was criticized for recently hosting a panel discussion about transgender athlete Chloie Jonsson and her multi-million dollar lawsuit against CrossFit for alleged discriminatory practices, The Huffington Post reported. Now, the clip of the panel has been removed from YouTube and Williams has tweeted an apology for the remarks, acknowledging both her insensitivity to issues surrounding transgender experience and her support for the LGBT community. Madonna will get back behind the camera to direct an adaptation of the Rebecca Walker novel Adé: A Love Story, according to Deadline. The novel, based on Walker's experience, is about a young college student who falls in love with the title character, a young Swahili man. They plan to marry and live in Kenya—until a civil war threatens to tear them apart.

Hollywood is reportedly salivating over a hot package making the rounds that has Jonathan Demme attached to direct a Diablo Cody script—with none other than Meryl Streep attached to star, The Wrap noted. Streep would play a woman who abandoned her family when she was younger to find fame and fortune in California. Decades later, she returns home to be a mother again. Tori Amos is set to release her brand-new studio album, Unrepentant Geraldines, May 13 in the United States on Mercury Classics/Universal Music Classics, according to a press release. Unrepentant Geraldines is the 14th studio recording for Amos, who has sold more than 12 million albums. Amos' worldwide tour kicks off in May, with U.S. dates now announced for July and August.
