For the past six years, every feature film chosen by the Producers Guild of America for its top honour has gone on to win the best-picture prize at the Academy Awards. Sunday night, Steve McQueen's historical epic "12 Years a Slave" and Alfonso Cuaron's space odyssey "Gravity" tied for the guild's highest honour.

While an Oscar tie is unlikely, the rare PGA split keeps the Academy Awards race wide open in one of the tightest three-way battles in years. It may have been shut out by the producers, but David O. Russell's con caper "American Hustle" still remains very much in the running following a week of big showings at the Golden Globes, Oscar nominations and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Rounding out the 10 nominees in the PGA's feature category were "American Hustle," ''Blue Jasmine," ''Captain Phillips," ''Dallas Buyers Club," ''Gravity," ''Nebraska," ''Saving Mr. Banks," and "The Wolf of Wall Street."

With only the Directors Guild and Writers Guild awards left to go in the next two weeks, the Oscar race is heading into the home stretch when several thousand academy voters make their choices prior to the March 2 ceremony.

Julia Roberts still swoons over her husband after 11 years of marriage.

The 'August: Osage County' star can't believe it's been over a decade since she wed cameraman Dany Moder - with whom she has nine-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel and six-year-old Henry - and still feels as though the couple are in the Honeymoon phase.

She said: "11 years feels like 11 minutes. It's just gone by in the blink of an eye. It's really only all these kids in our house that show that a lot of time has gone by. Otherwise it feels like, you know, me buckling and swooning still."

The 46-year-old screen icon has slowed down her career since becoming a mother and refuses to let her children watch her movies, including family film 'Mirror, Mirror', in which she plays an evil queen who bullies Snow White, played by Lily Collins.

She explained to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "It's funny - just as my kids start to figure out that I actually do this for a living, I'm doing less of it for a living. So it becomes a funnily disjointed conversation that we have about it.

"When 'Mirror, Mirror' came out a lot of their peer group saw it. That sparked the most questions, the biggest being, 'Why can't we see it?' I said, 'Well, I just don't feel good about you going to see a movie where mommy is slapping sweet Lily's face and pulling her hair.' You know? And they accepted that."

Bradley Cooper brought Suki Waterhouse as his date to the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) Awards.

The 'American Hustle' star, who previously romanced Zoe Saldana, was spotted cuddling up to the British model, 22, as they attended their first major award show together on Saturday (01.18.14) since they started dating almost one year ago.

Wearing a white and black gown by Andrew Gn, the blonde beauty looked happy and relaxed as she chatted to Bradley's co-stars, including Amy Adams, and was later spotted sitting in 'The Hangover' heartthrob's lap as he whispered in her ear, according to the MailOnline website.

Bradley, 39, brought his mother Gloria to the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles last Sunday (01.12.14) as Suki was in Las Vegas celebrating Georgia May Jagger's 22nd birthday with friends including Cara Delevingne at The Palms Casino Hotel.

But the aspiring actress joined him at an after-party for the Critics Choice Awards on Thursday (01.16.14).

The couple have been together since meeting at the Elle Style Awards in London in February 2013 and appear more loved up than ever.

Suki previously admitted she doesn't like to "go on" about her famous boyfriend, as she doesn't think she could stop.

She recently said: "I'm not one of those girls who goes on about their boyfriends. I do think whatever I say will sound weird. But the truth is, if I start talking about him, I probably won't be able to stop."

Scarlett Johansson is in no rush to get married.

The 'Her' actress - who got engaged to Romain Dauriac in the summer - insisted she is too busy preparing for her role as Black Widow in much-anticipated superhero sequel 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.

Asked by Parade magazine if she had started on wedding plans, she said: "No, I'm busy planning 'Avengers 2' right now! That's my main focus.

"I've never been a big planning kind of person. I'd never share it with anybody, but I think more than anything I feel really fortunate to have had this amazing year professionally."

The star insisted the big day is the one aspect of her life she can just take as it comes, and "let that happen organically" while she stays "relaxed".

She added: "And I think when all that smoke settles I'll be able to ... I don't feel like I need to rush that part of my life.

"I can let that happen organically. Right now it feels like a time to enjoy and be relaxed and that's what works for us."

Miley Cyrus worries she will never find someone who "loves her for who she is."

The 'Wrecking Ball' singer - who broke off her engagement with Liam Hemsworth last year and was recently romantically linked with Kellan Lutz - can't understand how she is viewed by guys and doesn't think she will find anyone who enjoys her outrageous antics.

A source said: "Miley has absolutely no self awareness. She doesn't see herself the way guys do.

"She'd love to be in a relationship - she worries she will never find someone who loves her for who she is - but she's totally unaware of why guys dump her."

Miley unveiled a drastic new image in 2013, with short, dyed hair, skimpy revealing outfits, songs referencing drugs and popularizing the raunchy dance move Twerking, but experts say these things could put men off.

Psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman told Life & Style magazine: "She flaunts her sexuality to get attention, and that makes a man feel like he can't keep up."

The 21-year-old star's friends add that behind the strong image, Miley is still unsure of herself.

A source said: "Miley wants nothing more than to have someone who's there for her when she needs them. She gets lonely and needs lots of attention."

Kendall Jenner cuddled up to Harry Styles at an Eagles concert on Friday night (01.17.14).

The rumored couple, who previously claimed they are just good friends, were spotted with their arms around each other as they watched the 'Hotel California' rockers perform at The Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles.

The One Direction singer, 19, and the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, 18, who were introduced in November and have since enjoyed dinner dates in New York and London, as well as a skiing trip in California, were joined by the brunette model's half-sister Khloe Kardashian, 29, and her mother Kris Jenner, 58, according to the MailOnline website.

Fans also posted pictures of the pair looking very affectionate on Twitter, including one of the British star wrapping his arms around Kendall from behind and whispering in her ear.

But the duo were clearly hoping to keep their date under-wraps as they left the venue separately.

E! Chat show host Chelsea Handler also attended the gig with the group just days after Kendall played coy about Harry when she was interviewed by the comedienne on 'Chelsea Lately'.

A source previously revealed that the teen's older half-sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are worried the 'Kiss You' hitmaker will break her heart.

The insider said: "Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are super worried about baby sis, and keep warning her, 'Don't fall in love with Harry, he's going to break your heart'. But it's too late, Kendall told them, 'I'm already madly in love with Harry' "

Kate Moss' 40th birthday meal angered fellow diners in a posh restaurant.

The supermodel was celebrating the milestone age at China Tang at the Dorchester hotel but her bash - which was attended by 30 friends including Stella McCartney and Nick Grimshaw - caused complaints because of loud singing.

A fellow diner told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We nearly went to a karaoke bar but decided to have a sophisticated meal here instead.

"But we might as well have gone to the bar as this place feels just like one.

"We're having to shout over the singing in order to hold a conversation. It's ridiculous."

It is said Kate - who turned 40 on Thursday 01.16.14) - and her guests started drinking cocktails and loudly singing songs by The Rolling Stones, INXS and Fleetwood Mac.

The occasion was marked by a heartfelt letter from fellow model Naomi Campbell, who described her as her "little sister."

She wrote: "She's like my little sister, and 40 or not she's still my little sister ... I'm proud of Kate, I'm very proud of her, I think what she's done and what she's still doing is phenomenal.

"There was never any jealousy between us. We were always supportive of each other and happy for one another. I respect her husband Jamie tremendously; I love him. Kate is also an amazing mother."

Christina Ricci tired herself out hacking up bodies with an axe in her latest movie.

The 33-year-old star plays the lead in 'Lizzie Borden Took an Ax' - about a religion teacher accused of killing her parents in 1892 - and says the murder scenes were physically demanding.

She said: ''My arms got tired because the axe was heavy. You film scenes from a million different angles, and for every take I did 12 chops with the axe. My arms were ripped for about two days after. I didn't like getting fake blood in my hair though.''

When she wasn't hacking people to pieces on-screen the actress - who is married to James Heerdegen - enjoyed shopping in Novia Scotia, Canada, where the shoot took place.

She added: ''There are a lot of little seaside villages and shops. I love maritime antiques and ship paintings, so I brought some good stuff back with me.''

When it comes to TV, Christina is missing her favourite fantasy series as well as reality shows.

She told Us Weekly magazine: ''I love 'Game of Thrones', so I read all the books when the season was over. And I have a bit of bit of reality show problem.''

Kendrick Lamar is looking forward to meeting Lorde at the Grammy Awards.

The 'Swimming Pools' rapper was very impressed by the teenage singer - who came from nowhere in 2013 to score a huge international hit with 'Royals' - at the ceremony in Los Angeles at the end of this month, as well as electronic producer James Blake.

He said: ''I'm most excited to meet Lorde. I'm really feeling 'Royals'. And I want to see James Blake.''

Kendrick wrote his debut LP - 'good kid, m.A.A.d city - about his hometown of Compton, part of Los Angeles, and says he finds it amazing when he heard people singing his lyrics back to him in other countries.

He said: ''Our story hadn't been told in a long time, so I'm just giving the world a view of the city from my perspective. When people are rapping your verse to you in the UK, it lets you know how big of an influence you have. But you still have to show your face [in Compton] and give back.''

Kendrick also still can't believe he is nominated for seven awards at the Grammys.

He added to People magazine: ''[I want to win] all of them! But anybody will say the biggest one is Album of the Year. I didn't quite understand the Grammys when I was young. I wish I could go back to the 80s and focus and really think about one day being there.''

Emma Watson isn't worried about Matthew Janney's reputation as a ladies man.

The 'Harry Potter' actress has started dating the rugby-playing British hunk since splitting with long term boyfriend Will Adamowicz, and is ignoring her friends' warnings that he is could break her heart.

A source told America's Star magazine: "They had instant chemistry. People have warned Emma about his past, but she doesn't care. She became infatuated with him immediately, and he loves her attention."

The couple were spotted kissing on a romantic break in the Caribbean earlier this month, and Coralie Day -Matthew's guardian, who has looked after him since the death of both his mother and father from cancer, leaving him orphaned at 16 - says she's "thrilled" for them both.

"Hats off to her for finding such a wonderful young man. There is nothing bad anyone could say about Matt. He is absolutely lovely."

Kanye West is planning to buy Kim Kardashian a castle.

The 'Bound 2' rapper believes he has come up with the perfect wedding gift for his fiancee - with who he has seven-month-old daughter North - and has asked his staff to scour Europe for the perfect property.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Kanye's insisting he wants to give Kim and actual castle as a wedding present. He's already got his people searching all over Europe for the perfect storybook property. Kanye keeps telling friends, 'Nothing is too good for Kim! My wife deserves to be treated like royalty, and that's just what I'm going to do."

Before the castle, Kanye may please his wife-to-be a little more if he employed a few extra workers to complete work on their $11 million Mediterranean-style five-bedroom mansion in Bel Air, Los Angeles.

The property is not set to be ready for them to move into until summer, over a year after renovation work was started.

The mansion has reportedly been furnished with six special-edition beds costing $185,000 in addition to $800,000 worth of gold-plated toilets.

A source said recently: "They expect the interior to cost twice as much as the property. They're spending more than a million on a security system alone."

Kevin Jonas finds his wife sexier than ever while she's pregnant.

The former Jonas Brothers star's wife, Danielle, is heavily pregnant with their first daughter - who is due any day now - and although she has said she "hated" her growing stomach, Kevin assures her he finds it very attractive.

He said: "I absolutely find her sexier than ever. I tell her all the time. She wears pregnancy well, she's stunning."

In fact the singer says the bond between them is only growing stronger the longer they spend with each other.

He added to Life and Style magazine: "We're more in love now than on our wedding day. I look at her with even more respect and love. I didn't know that was possible."

The couple have already picked out a name for their tot, but are keeping it under wraps until the birth.

Danielle told Us Weekly magazine: "The middle name has a lot of meaning, but her first name is ... different enough but not totally out there. It's cute."

Friends claim Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are engaged.

The 27-year-old actress was seen sporting a black pearl and diamond ring on her engagement finger earlier this week - which she tried to hide from photographers - and although it was claimed it is just a promise ring, sources close to the low-key couple say they are actually to wed.

A friend told Us Weekly magazine: "The proposal happened a while ago. She just didn't wear the ring."

Another source says it took Amber a while to make up her mind about the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' hunk's proposal.

The close family friend told Celebuzz.com: "It happened on Christmas Eve (24.12.13). Amber really took her time to make up her mind

"She turned him down before ... before she said yes. So she waited and was thinking about it for a long time."

Amber and Johnny, 50, first met when they starred together in 2011's 'The Rum Diary' but didn't get together until after the breakdown of his 14 year relationship with Vanessa Paradis, with whom he has Lily Rose,14, and Jack, 11.

The couple have been notoriously private about their relationship, but made a rare public appearance together on January 11 at the Art of Elysium Gala in Los Angeles.

Amber's ring has been described as a "large single emerald or princess cut stone in an elaborate platinum setting" by website MailOnline, who also noted when she was spotted wearing it, the sparkler "is yet to be sized correctly and thus had slipped around to the side slightly."

Prince Harry is stepping down from his role as an Apache helicopter pilot.

The British Royal will no longer serve in the Britain's Army Air Corps after completing his duties with the regiment and will instead by assigned a Staff Officer role in London.

Harry served over three years as a pilot in the Air Corps, during which time he was deployed to Afghanistan twice for active duty in 2007 and again from September 2012 to January 2013. During his second tour of duty he served in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, a Taliban stronghold.

Harry will retain his rank of captain and remain in the Household Cavalry in his new role.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson told Sky News: "Prince Harry has completed his attachment to 3 Regiment Army Air Corps and will now take up a Staff Officer role in HQ London District.

"The Prince will take the position of SO3 (Defense Engagement). His responsibilities will include helping to co-ordinate significant projects and commemorative events involving the Army in London."

Praising the 29-year-old soldier - known in the army as Captain Wales - Lieutenant Colonel Tom de la Rue, his commander in the Air Corps, said: "Captain Wales has reached the pinnacle of flying excellence as an Apache pilot, particularly in Afghanistan and, in the process, has proved to be a real inspiration to the many Army Air Corps officers and soldiers who have come to know him so well over the last two years."

One of Harry's new duties will involve him bringing an international version of The Warrior Games - a sports event in the US where disabled servicemen and women complete against each other - to London.

Charlie Sheen was ordered to make peace with Denise Richards by his TV show bosses.

The 'Anger Management' actor had launched a string of abusive messages at his ex-wife - who he claimed stopped him seeing their daughters Sam, nine, and Lola, eight over the festive season - but apologized on Wednesday (01.15.14), and it has been claimed he did so as FX, the network which airs his sitcom, told him he had gone too far.

A source said: "[The executives told him] he had to tone down the negative rhetoric towards Denise Richards because it was getting so much negative publicity. After Charlie posted those disgusting messages on Twitter that Denise was a pig and media ho, the bosses stepped in and said enough."

Insiders are said to be concerned that Charlie is "out of control" and no longer has steadying influences around him.

The source continued to RadarOnline.com: "Charlie is spiraling out of control right now, and making matters worse is that his three most trusted advisers recently quit. The people that used to be able to talk him off the ledge in the past, just aren't there. Charlie deleted all of the negative posts about Denise from his Twitter profile and did issue a mea culpa to Denise.

"One minute Charlie can be the calmest, most chill person, and in a flash, he switches into this crazed maniac. It just makes no sense."

Charlie - who also has a grown-up daughter Cassandra from a previous relationship and four-year-old twins Bob and Max with former spouse Brooke Mueller - deleted the abusive tweets he had written about the actress when he made a plea for peace for the sake of the children, insisting he and his girlfriend, Brett 'Scotty' Rossi, had their best interests at heart.

He wrote: "hey D! truce? I love Sami & Lola too much to allow my

"passion" for real parental justice to obfuscate, misalign or appear

mendacious in mine AND Scotty's pure and pleasant desire to exhibit and express "our" hart & soul love for them. xox c&s #DeletingPreviousSmears (sic)"

Lily Allen wasn't allowed to use her married name when she re-launched her music career.

The 28-year-old singer - who took a break from her career in 2009 - married Sam Cooper in 2011 and was adamant she would be using her new surname when she returned to singing.

However, her record label convinced her to stick with her maiden name because they feared fans would get confused.

Speaking to NME magazine, she said: ''Sadly, in this day and age, I still need their support. They're the bank manager and if they don't get their money out, then I'm not going to get anywhere.

''I understand that my name is quite big, but it's about picking your battles...''

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty - who came back onto the music scene last year with her hit 'Hard Out Here' - has been working on her third album, but said recently that she didn't really have a theme.

She said last week: ''You know what, I'm still sort of piecing it all together to be honest. So I can't really give you any specifics, but I'm really really proud of it and I'm really pleased with it. I've worked so hard and it hasn't been easy with two little tiny babies running around.''
