  • 08.03 – APPETITE: Blues and Brews at the Basie As part of the Count Basie Theatre’s series of ‘APPETITE: A Gastronomic Experience’ events, the local landmark hosts an afternoon of artisanal beer tastings, BBQ/ homebrew demos and more — including a Food Truck Row and vendor marketplace, proceeds from which will benefit Red Bank’s own JBJ Soul Kitchen.

Middletown Township Public Library hosts guests from the Jersey Shore’s very own insect museum, featuring live arthropods (Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, Giant Black African Millipede, Emperor Scorpion, And Chilean Rosehair Tarantula) and pinned specimens (including rainforest butterflies, giant stick bugs, colorful grasshoppers, and various exotic beetles. Participants will have the opportunity to view up close and touch with supervision. Two 45 minute sessions (10 am and 10:45 am); registration in person or by phone only, with MTPL library card.

  • 08.07 – LEGALLY BLONDE JR. at RBR The students of Red Bank Regional Visual and Performing Arts Summer Camp present their sumer showcase performance — a one hour version of the hit Broadway musical, adapted from the hit movie, which was adapted in turn from the novel by Amanda Brown. Over 70 students will take part in the musical production, and a special preview art exhibit will feature the creative art work of other campers.
