Countless stars film blockbuster movies, shoot award-winning TV shows, and pack concert venues in British Columbia.

And we can boast many of them as homegrown celebrities. There are the obvious names, such as Pamela Anderson (pride of Ladysmith), Bryan Adams (who rehearsed in his mom’s North Vancouver basement), and Michael J. Fox (who has a theatre named after him in Burnaby, where he grew up).

But there are plenty of other famous and talented faces who you may not know are from this province:
