Ciara has been a new mommy to baby Future Zahir for four months and the singer is wasting no time in getting her body back to its pre-pregnancy days. In fact, her personal trainer Gunnar Peterson told People magazine that she’s been working out every day. As hardcore as that sounds, Peterson said that it’s not a crazy schedule for her and she’s slimming down in a healthy fashion.
"She’s working hard, she’s getting it done, she’s eating properly, she’s getting sleep while she can, and so she’s getting leaner and stronger," Peterson said. "That’s the way to be the best mom."
Ciara has been mixing things up by doing interval training and "big body movements" like squatting, lunging, rowing, push-ups, crunches, overhead presses and jumps.
"The typical workout is that it’s not typical," he explained. "Depending on where we are in the week, there’s a focus on pushing movements, pulling movements; there’s lower body, there’s working different planes of motion, whether it’s front to back, side-to-side rotation."
Peterson added that new moms need to ease back into working out and then build from there instead of pulling out their old fitness routines that might be too intense to accomplish.
