Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist/songwriter, TV talent show winner, Broadway singer, more set for ArtsQuest Center

The founder of a 1960s band who also has had a successful solo career will play a show at Café at ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem, it was just announced.

So will the winner of a TV talent contest show, a famed cabaret singer and a tribute act that plays the music of one of rock 'n' roll's biggest bands.

Dave Mason, the British guitarist and songwriter who first had success with Steve Winwood and others in the classic rock band Traffic, will perform with his band Traffic Jam at 8 p.m. July 24.

Illusionist Mike Super, who won the hit -TV show "Phenomenon," will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 26.

Linnie Godfrey, who has performed on Broadway and on TV and in movies, will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 12.

And a tribute to Led Zeppelin featuring a Who's Who of the Lehigh Valley's music community to raise funds for the ArtsQuest Artists Fund, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 20 to ArtsQuest members and 10 a.m. May 23 to the public at http://www.artsquest.org and 610-332-3378.

With Traffic, Mason had the hits including "Feelin' Alright" and "Gimme Some Lovin' (Part 1)," and as a solo artist had the 1977 hit "We Just Disagree." Tickets to his show are $39 and $49.

Godfrey received an NAACP Award for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress and appeared and had recurring roles on the TV shows "Amen," "Brewster Place," "The New Monkees" and "704 Hauser. Tickets to her show are $30.

Mike Super is the only magician in history to win a live magic competition on prime time U.S. network television. He also has performed for Jay Leno, Regis Philbin, Craig Ferguson, Joan Rivers and others. Tickets to his show are $30 and $35.

The Music of Led Zeppelin will have all proceeds benefit the ArtsQuest Artists Fund, which helps to support performing opportunities for area musicians, as well as ArtsQuest's 750 free concerts for the community throughout the year. Performers confirmed include Craig Thatcher Band, Lou Franco Project and student musicians of The Lesson Center. Tickets: $32 and $100 VIP package that included a pre-show reception, cocktails and food.

Also, Californina-based alternative indie band Run River North will perform at 8 p.m. July 25 in ArtsQuest Center's Fowler Blast Furnace Room. Tickets are $15.
