Jessie J is currently gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan UK and in it, the British singer opens up about battling an illness while in the spotlight, what she loves in a partner, and learning how to own her image.
"I’ve been through all these looks and hairstyles and I feel like now I know myself. My boobs are small, my legs are long, I’m skinny, I’ve got man hands… and I say, ‘Fix up. No one gives a s**t!’" she said.
Jessie J, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, also chatted about her views on love and what she looks for in a partner.
"I’m still finding my feet in love. Maybe America is the place I’ll meet the man of my dreams? My mum and dad have been together 36 years and they’ve shown me what real love is like. When you have that to look up to, you know you have to get it right," Jessie J said. "I like a guy who can make me laugh."
Social media has definitely changed the dating game, she added, and believes that if so many options weren’t available at the click of a button, more people would be getting hitched. She’s yet to find her forever match, but she’s having a blast playing the field.
"I’m 26 and I want to have kids in the next four to eight years — obviously not right now," she said. "But I’m not 16; I’m a woman and I live a 26-year-old woman’s life: I have relationships and I have sex… and that’s OK… I’m growing up and I don’t want to obscure any parts of me or take them away."
