A rundown of entertainment in North Platte and Lincoln County.

Movies at the Platte River Mall include: “Godzilla,” “Million Dollar Arm,” “Legends of Oz: Dorothy Returns,” “Neighbors,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” “The Other Woman,” and “Heaven is for Real.” Schedule subject to change, see www.carmike.com.

Thursday, May 15

• Fort Cody Trading Post (NE corner, I-80 & Jeffers interchange) – Live music by Daniel Christian, Blue Swing & Brad Godfrey. 6-9 p.m. $5 or $25 for season pass. First of outdoor evening concert series.

Friday, May 16

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds – Metal May fest – Live music by Surveying the Damned, Stantpiece, Left Ashtray and Tempted by Death. 7 p.m. $5 in advance, $8 day of show.

Saturday, May 17

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds – Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint races Start at 7 p.m. Pit pass $25; regular admission $10 for adults, $5 kids.

• Memorial Park (1100 W. 4th) – Woofstock. Activities for pet owners and their dog. 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Sunday, May 18

• North Platte Community College south campus (601 W. State Farm Rd.) – Color Dash 5K. 2 p.m.

Monday, May 19

• Neville Center (Fox Theater, 5th & Bailey) – Concert by TV & stage star John Davidson. Admission by annual membership. Purchase at door. 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, May 21

• Senior Center (901 E. 10th) – Dance to live music by Ray Mullens. 7-9:30 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.

Thursday, May 22

• Margie’s Bar & Grill (1008 W. 18th) – Twisted fork fundraiser for North Platte Area Children’s Museum. Local chefs cook up childhood favorites. Live auction, cash bar. Adults only. 6 p.m. $35 per person.

• Lakehouse bar and restaurant (Lake Maloney inlet) – Live music by Rascal, with opening guests Holys with the Most. 6 p.m.

Saturday, May 24

• A to Z Books – Open Mic Nite, 7-10 p.m. Special guests are Holys with the Most, playing around 8 p.m. Performances by veterans and newcomers alike. Refreshments. Freewill donation.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds – Lincoln County auto races. 7 p.m. Pit pass $25; regular admission $10 for adults, $5 kids

Senior Center (901 East 10th) -Sat. night bingo. Early bird at 6:30 p.m. Regular session begins at 7 p.m. .

Wednesday, May 28

• Senior Center (901 E. 10th) – Dance to live music by Doug Powers Band. 7-9:30 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.

Thursday, May 29

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds – Tehama Shrine Circus. Two performances 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

• Oregon Trail Golf Course (Sutherland) – Great Plains Regional Medical Center Lake-to-Lake Challenge Relay. Relay event of 2, 3 or 4 person teams. 8 a.m.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds – Lincoln County auto races. 7 p.m. Pit pass $25; regular admission $10 for adults, $5 kids

Wednesday, June 4

• Senior Center (901 E. 10th) – Dance to live music by Ray Mullen. 7-9:30 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.

Thursday, June 5

• North Platte High School (1220 W. 2nd) – Miss Nebraska Pageant begins. $18 or three night package $56.

Friday, June 6

• North Platte High School (1220 W. 2nd) – Miss Nebraska Pageant continues. $18 or three night package $56.

• Cody Park Ballfields (1402 N. Highway 83) – Movies in the park featuring Monsters University. Movie begins at dusk. Free event.

Saturday, June 7

• North Platte High School (1220 W. 2nd) – Miss Nebraska Pageant finale. $25 or three night package $56.

• Golden Spike Tower (1249 Homestead Rd.) – Hike the Spike. Six obstacles including handcar races, 7 floor stair run. 9 a.m. $40, team of two needed.

Wednesday, June 11

• Senior Center (901 E. 10th) – Dance to live music by Lou Kraus. 7-9:30 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.

Friday, June 13

• A to Z Books – Open Mic Nite, 7-10 p.m. Performances by veterans and newcomers alike. Refreshments. Freewill donation.
