Oscar-winning movie star Sandra Bullock was the best-paid actress in Hollywood over the past year, Forbes magazine reports.

The magazine put her estimated earnings at about $US51 million ($A55.18 million).

The big payday for Bullock, 50, over the past 12 months was largely thanks to her work in the hit film Gravity, for which she received a best actress Oscar nomination.

The film, a festival of special effects, is about an astronaut’s struggle to survive in orbit after the space shuttle is destroyed. The blockbuster movie earned seven Oscars and $US716 million.

Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence was the second highest paid actress over the past year, with $US34 million.

Third place went to Jennifer Aniston, with $US31 million, followed by Gwyneth Paltrow, who earned $US19 million over the past year.

Tied for fifth place were Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz, each of whom earned $US18 million from June 2013 to June 2014.

Delta Goodrem responds to bad dancing diss

Delta Goodrem has responded to her online dancing diss in perhaps the best way possible, by laughing along with everyone else.

The singer was called out for being ‘‘unrhythmic’’ by American comedian Marlon Wayans in a humorous Instagram selfie he took while apparently trying to enjoy a Beyonce and Jay Z concert during their The Run tour in Los Angeles.

And, as she probably saw some online criticism on Monday in LA, Goodrem responded by posting a video of the Seinfeld character, Elaine’s, infamously bad dancing scene from the US TV show.

‘‘Had a blast last night,’’ the singer posted alongside the video of Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character busting some hilariously bad moves.

The singer received a lot of support with 95 people marking the tweet as a favourite and another 98 retweeting it. ‘‘YOU GO GIRL YOU LEGEND,’’ one fan replied.

‘‘Proud of you and your white girl moves.. Own it girlfriend!’’ another one tweeted.  

The original snap showed Wayans with his eyes awkwardly raised as he watches a seemingly oblivious Goodrem groove along to the music.

‘‘Man I got the most UNRHYTHMIC WHITE WOMAN dancing next to me at the jay and bay concert... This b**** dancing to AC/DC,’’ he captioned the picture.

Wayans’ followers - one of which is Goodrem - were quick to point out exactly who the 42-year-old actor was dissing.

‘‘That b**** you’re standing next to is one of Australia’s famous singers,’’ wrote one.Others backed up Goodrem, while some laughed along with Wayans.

‘‘On The Voice when she gets up and does her pathetic excuse of a dance and then press the button...I want to throw the remote through the TV!,’’ one Instagrammer jibed.

Susan Sarandon’s home burgled

Actress Susan Sarandon’s apartment in Manhattan, New York was ransacked by a burglar over the weekend.

A thief broke into the Thelma & Louise star’s home and made off with a laptop, camera, jewellery and documents, according to the New York Post.

Sarandon’s son Miles left the property around 8pm on Saturday and returned home the following morning to find the apartment in a state of disarray.

Sarandon is thought to have had $US100,000 ($A108,195.83)worth of jewels in her home.The actress was out of town at the time of the raid.

Lindsay Lohan plans tell-all book

Lindsay Lohan is searching for a ghost writer to help pen a tell-all autobiography, according to a UK report.The Mean Girls star reportedly impressed publishing bosses when she met with them in London and hinted at the celebrity stories she can recount.    

The troubled actress is reportedly now seeking a high-profile ghost writer to help her tell her tales, with Fifty Shades Of Grey author E.L. James allegedly a prime target.    

A source tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, ‘‘Lindsay held meetings at major publishing houses in London recently - and the stories she promised the literary agents made their jaws drop. She’s prepared to put everything out there and has already proved she’s not shy with the list of men she claims to have slept with.

‘‘Lindsay is now looking for a ghost writer. It may seem unlikely, but she think she’s in with a shot of getting E.L. James to work on it - they met recently at (London celebrity hangout) the Chiltern Firehouse and got on well. Another pie in the sky idea was that she might persuade (Harry Potter author) J.K. Rowling to work with her.’’

In March (14) a list of celebrity men Lohan claims to have slept with, which the actress made during a stay in a rehabilitation centre, leaked.

Dinklage gets mullet, bazooka for new role

If you’re used to seeing Tyrion Lannister handling a sword you’ll be blown away - quite literally - with Peter Dinklage’s latest weaponry.

The Game of Thrones star looked ready for battle on the set of his new film Pixels, as he and actor Josh Gad brandished some menacing-looking machinery on a Toronto street.

Photos show the pair rocking futuristic blue jumpsuits as they shot scenes for the sci-fi computer-animated action comedy, which is due out next year.

Dinklage boasted an outrageous blonde mullet and black leather biker gloves as he pretended to aim what looked like a bazooka at invisible aliens, which will be added later using CGI.

Their scantily clad co-star Ashley Benson also joined them, and she got to hold the sword this time for her character Lady Lisa.

The flick, which also stars Adam Sandler, is about a team of Arcaders who take on invading aliens disguised as characters from popular ‘80s video games.
