The reviews of her performances have been referred to as 'the hottest ticket in town', and she has been compared to 'Bette Midler, Rosie O'Donnell and Phyllis Diller' for her quick wit and the fabulous range in her voice. That's Sharron Matthews!

Pricedex Software 2014 Summer Series is bringing Sharron Matthews Gold to the Brockville Arts Centre on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m., and two shows on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., at a cost of $29.50 plus HST.

This red headed musical comedienne has starred in Global TV's Canada Sings, as well, was voted as the number one Cabaret in New York City in 2010.

Matthews is a singer, actress in television and movies, comedian, Broadway performer, has written for the National Post, is a producer and social media spinner, voice over artist and loves being a Canadian.

When asked what to expect from her performances in Brockville, she was quick to say, "My show is a rocking, fast moving, comedy concert! The fabulous people of Brockville will hear songs they know and love by Queen, Beyonce, the Beatles, Pink, Bruno Mars, Guns and Roses (yes! Guns and Roses!) and Donna Summer...and that's just naming a few! I have made sure there is something for everyone! They will hear stories that make them think, "Oh My gosh...THAT was me!!" My show, that I call Sharron Matthews SUPERSTAR, speaks to the person inside of all us who dreamt of being a rock star...but didn't quite fit the mold."

Her show is about having a good time and she invites families to bring their children along. She indicates that people will laugh a lot, sing, as well as do something unexpected.

Matthews is an expert in 'mash-up', as she takes two songs and weaves both together.

"For instance, I took Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and Beyonce's "If I Were A Boy" and made it one song...one story," indicated Matthews. "It is always wonderful to take a song from a whole other era and put it into a current song. That way you hear both songs in a whole new way."

Her talents have led to hard to buy tickets for her concert tour, as they sell out quickly.

This entertainer and artist has performed in various Canadian cities, New York City, overseas in Scotland, as well as England and South Africa.

When Matthews debuted in London, there was no advertising and it sold out.

Her theatrical accolades include the Harold Award, Greg Bond Award and Matthews was nominated for a Dora.

Matthews is spiritual, a voracious reader and always ready for the next challenge.

"My (on stage) goals are to come up with performances that are the very best I can do, accessible to all genders, not to lose my edge, have something for everyone, and to be current, but not exclusive," said Matthews.
