HANDS OFF

Don’t touch Tim McGraw’s jeans! A grainy video from his concert Sunday in Atlanta has some wondering if he actually slapped a female audience member in the head. In the clip, McGraw is interacting with fans, one of which tugs at his pant leg. He then looks annoyed and sort of shoos away/hits the person in question, who is removed by guards. His reps told Billboard nothing bad happened: “At the end of the night during the encore, Tim was singing out in the audience, and someone firmly grabbed onto his leg and wouldn’t let go as he was moving through the crowd. He instinctively swatted to try and keep them from ripping his jeans (which they succeeded at doing).”

ROCK IT OUT

Three people who have reviewed documents concerning the sale of the Buffalo Bills say a Toronto group that includes rocker Jon Bon Jovi is interested in buying the team. The three people spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity Friday because the process is private and the Toronto group has not revealed its intentions.

NAME CONFUSION

More glum news for Glee — Britain’s High Court ruled Friday that the musical TV show must change its name because it breaches the trademark of a chain of comedy clubs. A judge told Twentieth Century Fox that it had to rename the series in Britain, though the order won’t take effect until an appeal has been heard. The studio was sued by Comic Enterprises, which operates a string of venues called The Glee Club.

RUNNING INTERFERENCE

Georgia entertainment company is suing Tyler Perry, accusing the filmmaker of unfairly working with government officials to transform a former military base into a studio for Perry’s company.

Atlanta-based Ubiquitous Entertainment Studios filed the federal lawsuit this week in U.S. District Court. Also named as defendants are the U.S. Army and a government authority working to redevelop Fort McPherson, a former Army base south of Atlanta.

Ubiquitous says its CEO met with the authority’s chairman in December 2011 to share its vision of creating a movie studio and entertainment complex at the site. The company says Perry tried to persuade the authority to negotiate a similar deal with his company instead.

REBOUND ROMANCE

That was fast. One month after splitting with fiancé Jas Prince, Christina Milian is dating Lil Wayne, a source reveals to UsWeekly. Milian, 32, and the rapper, 31, were photographed holding hands at the 2014 ESPY Awards at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on Wednesday. Milian has a 4-year-old daughter with Prince.

IN MEMORY

Broadway marquees will be dimmed in memory of a Tony- and Emmy-winning actress who epitomized New York and the theater world. Elaine Stritch died Thursday at age 89 in her home state of Michigan. The marquees of the Great White Way were set to be dimmed for one minute at 7:45 p.m. Friday.
