"A.J. MEERWALD" SAILING AND TOURS
Hudson County and other residents will have the chance to sail New York Bay on the A.J. Meerwald, as well as take part in some dock-side tours, during the next few weeks. During the sailing trip and tours, people can learn about the oyster industry, the ship's history, help hoist the sails, or simply relax and enjoy the views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan. JAZZ PROGRAM AT MILLER BRANCH LIBRARY
The Jersey City Free Public Library (JCPFL) will host a Jazz House Kids event today at 8 p.m. at the Miller Branch Library. The event, part of JCPFL's Community Awareness Series, will feature one of Jazz House Kids's several ensembles playing some classic jazz tunes originally composed in the 1950's and 60's. Jazz House Kids is a nonprofit organization based in Montclair that aims to increase student understanding of and appreciation for Jazz music by today's young people. Pole Position Raceway in Jersey City will partner with the Alzheimer's Association's Greater New Jersey Chapter to raise awareness and funds surrounding its "Longest Day" event on today by hosting Go-Kart races from 10 a.m. to midnight. Participants are encouraged to contribute to Pole Position Raceway's fundraising effort by purchasing races on its webpage, where all of the proceeds (or $30) will go directly to the Alzheimer's Association's Longest Day program. BAYONNE BRIDGEMEN'S "TOURNAMENT OF STARS"

The Paella For the World organization, in partnership with the New Jersey Restaurant Association and the American Academy of Gastronomy-East Chapter, will hold the New Jersey Paella Festival and cook-off on Oct. 25 from 2 to 10 p.m. at the Hudson County Community College (HCCC)'s Culinary Arts Institute (CAI). KENNEDY DANCERS DANCE CLASSES FOR SENIORS
The Kennedy Dancers, a non-profit dance school located at 79 Central Ave., Jersey City, will offer several classes for people 62 and over at the studio:
Zumba Gold will take place every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the studio. This super body work out combines easy dance movements with fun Latin and world music. The class is especially designed to promote dexterity, flexibility and endurance for the more mature person.
Body Flow will take place every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. The class is a carefully designed stretch & fitness program developed from Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates with both standing and seatedexercises that will work your body gently help you develop endurance, strength, and flexibility. They also use deep breathing, meditation & other healingexercise in these programs.
People over the age of 62 can enjoy a basic Latin ballroom class every Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Beginners and moreintermediate dancers are welcome. The teacher is a Latin Ballroom specialist who'll include Salsa, Bachatta, Merengue and Cha Cha Cha. Partners are not necessary.
