Forget the Grammys, forget the MTV VMAs — this year, it looks the Billboard Music Awards are going to be the biggest night in music. With a loaded list of performances featuring everyone from Ariana Grande to Katy Perry, the ceremony on May 18 promises to be non-stop fun and never-ending entertainment. And you know what they say about a good awards show — that means the red carpet will be even better! Lucky for you, you can watch the whole thing below.
First of all, the performances at the BBMAs are going to blow the roof off of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where the ceremony is being held. Every genre in music will get their chance to shine and then some.
A slew of pop stars are taking the stage like Ariana, Shakira, and Jennifer Lopez. Iggy Azalea will be doing the rap community proud with her song “Fancy.” And it’s going to be a big night for country, as Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Florida Georgia Line are all set to perform.
Katy and Miley Cyrus will also be giving the BBMAs an international feel, as their concerts from abroad will be broadcast via satellite.
There are also a ton of interesting matchups for the big awards of the night. Miley and Katy are both vying for Top Artist, Ariana Grande is competing against Lorde for Top New Artist, and in the most interesting face-off of the night, newly minted rap rivals Jay Z and Drake are going head-to-head for the Top Rap Artist award.
It’s going to be a great night. Kick it off here at 6 p.m. ET and then watch the ceremony at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
