Happy Friday everyone!  We have a number of cool events for you this weekend!

Indoors, The Gainesville Orchestra is putting the finishing touches on its 2013-2014 season tonight at the Phillips Center.  The orchestra is presenting "Nature's Eden" - A Pops Spectacular!  It's referred to as a "celebration of Florida's natural wonders, art and music."  The show features a variety of music from the popular Disney movie "Frozen", "The Wizard of Oz", the "1812 Overture" and more.  Next door, the Harn Museum of Art will be open late with activities for the family to enjoy.  The show begins at 7:30 at the performing arts hall in southwest Gainesville.  Website

Continuing on a musical note, the Orange Blossom Opry has something special for country music fans.  Restless Heart, the group that got its start in the 1980's, is performing at the Opry Saturday.  The group had major hits on the country and adult contemporary charts with songs like "When She Cries", "I'll Still Be Loving You", and "Tell Me What You Dream".  Showtimes are 2:30 and 7:30 pm Saturday at the Orange Blossom Opry, 13939 Southeast Highway 42 in Weirsdale.  Website

In Ocala, you can celebrate Mother's Day under the stars with the Ocala Symphony Orchestra.  Fine Arts for Ocala is presenting its annual Symphony Under the Stars performance Sunday evening.  The event features great tunes with a choreographed fireworks display.  Bring your blanket, lawn chair, and your family.  You can bring a picnic basket, too, or grab some food while you're there.  It all takes place behind the club house at the Ocala Golf Club on East Silver Springs Boulevard.  Gates open at 6 pm, the concert starts at 7.  Website

This is also the weekend for the 30th annual Windsor Zucchini Festival.  Figure on everything Zucchini at the event.  If you're hungry you can get some barbecue, too.  You'll want to check out the crowning of the Duke of Zuke and the Zuqueenie.  There'll be games for the kids and arts and crafts as well.  The festival runs from 9 to 5 Saturday at the Windsor Fire Station, located on County Road 234, between State Roads 20 and 26.  Windsor is about 7 miles east of Gainesville.  Website
