Former "90210" actress Shenae Grimes (married name: Shenae Beech) has some choice words for Hamilton, Ontario.
The Toronto-born Canadian expat, who now calls sunny Los Angeles home, had this to say on Twitter while shooting in Hamilton:
The 24-year-old was soon buried under a deluge of angry responses, and then tweeted this:
Is all forgiven? The half-million people who live in the Ontario city may have some more thoughts on the subject.
Talk about rising stock! Back in the days of his TV show 'Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place,' no one would have ever expected Reynolds to go on and become a leading man in major motion pictures. His spring board of 'Van Wilder' certainly did the trick; now the whole world gets the glory of his abs and nakedness on the big screen. -- Chris Jancelewicz
Fire Marshal Bill, Ace Ventura, Lloyd Christmas -- those three characters are responsible for a significant percentage of the pop-culture quotes I've used in my life, and quoting pop culture is responsible for a significant percentage of how I've spent my life. And it's a damn shame most people aren't familiar with his early stand-up, which was hysterical. In conclusion: "Let me show ya something!" "Einhorn is Finkle. Finkle is Einhorn. Einhorn is a man. Oh my GOD. Einhorn is a MAN!" and "WE'VE LANDED ON THE MOON!" -- Chris Chaberski
Talk about your all-time man crushes. Thanks to two royal Oscar snubs and an upcoming schedule filled with "Photoshopped" abs and award-winning indies, we're hoping that by this time next year everyone will finally realize that Gosling may very well be the best Canadian export since poutine. One of the best young actors out there, has been for a while now, and he's sure come a long way since his days in The Mickey Mouse Club. -- Aiden Redmond
The Biebs is the most controversial inclusion on this list, due to all the unwashed masses' inexplicable distaste for him. Until we get the 3D IMAX Reboot of 'Lawrence of Arabia' starring JB, we'll have to settle for his lone big-screen appearance, the concert film 'Never Say Never,' which has now replaced the Statue of Liberty as "the greatest gift we ever got from another country." If Hollywood would only wise up and start casting him in more projects, they might be able to finally save theaters from the declining ticket sales that have troubled them in recent years. Additionally, Justin Bieber needs to be louder, angrier and have access to a time machine. -- Eric Larnick
We got to know her as a very, very mean girl in 'Mean Girls,' but since then, McAdams has certainly made a name for herself. After a much-publicized relationship with fellow Canadian Ryan Gosling (the two stars broke hearts in 'The Notebook'), McAdams rose to leading-lady status in 'Sherlock Holmes,' acting across from Robert Downey Jr. -- CJ
From Wayne to Linda, Mike Myers' 'Saturday Night Live' characters are some of the best of his generation. He is fearlessly funny and charming, which carried over into movies like 'Shrek' and 'Austin Powers.' Myers is a comedic force who has the staying power to keep his jokes in pop culture lexicon for years to come. The Ontario native is now working on a parody of new wave music with fellow SNL veteran Fred Armisen. -- Gabrielle Dunn
She became the first female to win the Genie Award for Best Direction and also netted an Academy Award screenwriting nomination for her directorial debut, 'Away From Her.' She starred in the acclaimed 'The Sweet Hereafter' at the age of 15, is an outspoken political activist, and at the age of 12 she was willing to walk away from a hit Disney show after they tried to censor her for wearing a peace sign. Additionally, she's appeared in award-winning independent projects that have premiered everywhere from Sundance to Cannes, and is an accomplished singer-songwriter to boot. But you probably know her as "the last girl to die in 'Dawn of the Dead.'" -- EL
Even if he hadn't made 'Knocked Up,' 'Superbad' or 'Pineapple Express,' I'd still let him marry my daughter just for 'Freaks and Geeks.' But he did make 'Knocked Up,' 'Superbad' and 'Pineapple Express,' and that's why I included him here. The Jew-fro'd pothead from Vancouver is just a funny dude, and for what it's worth, he also seems like a nice guy. So Canadian. -- CC
Admittedly, her movie appearances have gotten more sparse in the past few years, preferring to concentrate on her family instead of her career. But she'll always be Trinity from 'The Matrix' Trilogy -- one of the hottest cyberpunks ever. Even if she never acts again, she'll always be able to say she rode a motorcycle through the window of an exploding skyscraper, firing bullets at evil, shadowy g-men. What have you done lately? -- EL
Seriously, what's not to love about this girl? She stole our hearts and had us busting a gut when Michael Cera (also a Canuck) knocked her up in 'Juno,' and she also happens to be every pedophile's worst nightmare thanks to her charming little turn in 'Hard Candy.' Unless you're a pederast, you can't beat that combo with a stick. When it comes to young Hollywood, Page is one of the best, and American actresses would do well to start taking notes. -- AR
Kids today know Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, vampire-lover on TV show 'True Blood,' but the Winnipeg-born actress won an Oscar at the age of 11 for her performance in 'The Piano.' Her wide-ranging career includes the 'X-Men' franchise, 'Almost Famous' and 'Fly Away Home.' In 2010, she married her 'True Blood' co-star Stephen Moyer, and also came out as bisexual in a PSA about LGBT rights. Good job, Rogue! -- GD
He sings, he dances, had a one-man show on Broadway, wears prosthetics and does vampy smarm better than any other performer in North America. Short's willingness to completely disappear into characters as ridiculous as Jiminy Glick and Ed Grimley allow him to own whatever movie he's starring in, no matter how terrible it may be (we're looking at you 'Santa Clause 3.') Only one word can truly describe Martin Short's acting, and we mean it as the highest form of compliment: exhausting. -- EL
Sure, '24' got a little absurd by the end, but the early seasons were some spectacular TV, thanks to Kiefer's performance as Agent Jack Bauer. Prior to that, though, my two favorite roles of his were as the creepy, always-short-of-breath doctor in the terribly underrated and underseen 'Dark City' and (most especially) Ace in 'Stand by Me.' Something about that part still stands my hair on edge -- even to this day, when I'm almost positive Ace won't find come hunt me down and beat me up if I say anything bad about him. He must be a great actor, because I've never met a Canadian who, like Ace, is just so mean. -- CC
Neve Campbell was one of the sexiest ladies of the '90s and is still killing it today. The Ontario native got her start as a teenager on 'Party of Five' and just recently reprised her role as Sidney Prescott in 'Scream 4.' Also, can anyone forget her scenes with Denise Richards in 'Wild Things?' (On a more humanitarian note, Campbell works with the Tourette's Syndrome Foundation of Canada. What a good Canadian!) -- GD
What else is there to say about the Shat that hasn't been said a million times? James T. Kirk ("KHAN!"), the Priceline pitchman, the Comedy Central Roast-ee, etc., but clearly his best role is as the face of Michael Myers in 'Halloween.' What a perfect disguise for a serial killer: a Canadian! -- CC
Granted, Hayden Christensen became a controversial figure after staring as grown-up Anakin Skywalker in the 'Star Wars' prequels, but the Vancouver native is still a good actor. Just look at his intense work as Stephen Glass in 2003's 'Shattered Glass' or as a misunderstood teenager in 'Life as a House.' But did you know Christensen got his start on Canadian TV? Thanks, Canada! -- GD
Who doesn't absolutely love Michael J. Fox? From Alex P. Keaton on 'Family Ties' to Marty McFly in 'Back to the Future,' he could not be more lovable or memorable if he tried. In 1998, he went public with his struggles with Parkinson's disease and has become a face and spokesperson for awareness and research. Last month, he was inducted as an Officer of Canada for his outreach and charity work. Great Scott, he's just the best person ever! -- GD
If all you know O'Hara as is "the mom from 'Home Alone,'" you're missing out on one of the best comedians out there. She perfectly captured the character of "weird downtown New York flake" in Martin Scorsese's 'After Hours,' wistfully voiced the part of Sally in 'A Nightmare Before Christmas' and hilariously played a wound-up, pretentious, neurotic fruit loop in 'Beetlejuice.' And we haven't even begun to talk about her work in the Christopher Guest mockumentaries, improvising totally wacked-out depictions of humanity in movies like 'Best in Show,' 'A Mighty Wind' and 'Waiting for Guffman.' -- EL
Yeah, it ain't much of a stretch to pigeonhole him as "George-Michael Bluth on repeat," but we love Michael Cera, and any actor would thank their lucky stars to be synonymous with 'Arrested Development.' He's quirky, he's charming, he's funny as hell ('Superbad,' enough said), and as was painfully clear in 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,' he can also kick a whole bunch of ass. Not too shabby if you ask us. -- AR
We associate nothing but good things with Jackson, probably because we think about the happy-go-lucky 'Mighty Ducks' films whenever we see his face. His late teen/early adult years were arguably his most successful, with popular turns in 'Apt Pupil,' 'Urban Legend,' and 'Cruel Intentions.' He melted Canadian hearts in the patriotic 'One Week,' where he starred as a cancer-stricken man on a journey across the country. Touching, to say the least. -- CJ
Everyone makes a big deal about whether Bill Murray will sign on to 'Ghostbusters 3,' but have we all forgotten about Louis Tully? When it comes to great nerd performances in cinema, Moranis completely dominated the 1980s. 'Strange Brew, 'Little Shop of Horrors,' 'Spaceballs,' 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' and many more hilarious turns have left behind an amazing comedy legacy. And while his decision to retire from showbiz is completely admirable (he's busy raising his kids after his wife passed away from cancer) we still hold out hope that he'll one day return to the big screen and have us laughing again. -- EL
Many Canadians have known Baruchel since his early days as a co-host (with fellow Canadian Elisha Cuthbert) on kids' show 'Popular Mechanics for Kids.' After several memorable character roles in movies like 'Tropic Thunder' and 'The Trotsky,' Baruchel became a full-fledged leading man in 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice,' and won a spot in our hearts. -- CJ
