We’re still in a bit of a lull before a batch of new and returning shows come flocking in, demanding our attention (we see you, “Game of Thrones,” charging back on April 6, and “Mad Men,” swinging back on April 13.) But this week does get off to a busy start, on Sunday night. We’ve got the return of a pair of PBS British imports, “Mr. Selfridge” and “Call the Midwife.” And I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see what happens on “The Good Wife” Sunday night. And “The Walking Dead” wraps up Season 4.
SUNDAY
“Call the Midwife”: Season 3 begins in 1959, with the nuns and the nurses settling in to new quarters, and Chummy trying to be comfortable in her role as wife and new mother. (8 p.m. PBS/10)

“The Walking Dead”: The Season 4 finale finds our scrappy survivors finally making peace with zombies and all getting together for a nice cup of tea. Oh, wait, I was thinking about “Call the Midwife” and “Mr. Selfridge.” Nope, I suspect Rick and company will face new challenges even if the destination known as “Terminus” promises to be a refuge. (9 p.m. AMC)
“The Good Wife”: When last we saw Alicia, in last week’s jaw-dropping episode, she had just answered the phone, and was about to get the terrible news that Will was dead. How will she, Diane, Kalinda and everyone else react now that he’s gone? (9 p.m. CBS/6)
“Mr. Selfridge”: Season 2 begins with the store celebrating its fifth anniversary, and some familiar faces returning to the fold. (9 p.m. PBS/10)

MONDAY
“Dancing with the Stars”: Diana Nyad and whatshisname may have been the first celeb dancers to cha-cha off into the sunset, but somebody else’s turn is coming tonight. But first, Robin Roberts (“Good Morning, America”) sits in as a guest judge. (8 p.m. ABC/2)
“How I Met Your Mother”: At last, the question of the title is answered, in the series finale. (8 p.m. CBS/6)
“Friends With Better Lives”: New comedy about a group of friends in their 30s, some married, others single and/or divorced, who wonder if their friends’ situations are preferable to their own. The cast includes Kevin Connolly, Majandra Delfino, James Van Der Beek and Brooklyn Decker. (9 p.m. CBS/6)
“Bates Motel”: Norman decides to take his new friend, Cody, into his confidence, and Norma is still trying to stop that darned highway bypass from being built. (10 p.m. A&E)
“House of Food”: A new MTV series that sounds like a mash-up between “The Real World,” “Top Chef” and “Hells Kitchen.” A group of aspiring chefs complete in new challenges each week, trying to win a culinary apprenticeship. They’re guided by three professional chefs. And, of course, there are some Portland connections. One of the chef teachers, Casey Lane, attended culinary school in Portland when he was 18. He went on to build a career in Los Angeles, and is now the executive chef of The Tasting Kitchen, in Venice, Calif.
And one of the students is Suki Secka, a 21-year-old, from Portland, whose bio says she was born in Gambia, West Africa, and moved to the U.S. at age 8. Secka, per the “House of Food” website, “is a self-proclaimed diva who aspires to be the best and hottest chef.” (10 p.m. MTV)
TUESDAY
“The Story of the Jews with Simon Schama”: Three back-to-back episodes look at Jews in the Enlightenment era; the shtetl settlements in Eastern Europe; and, in the conclusion, the Holocaust and the birth of the modern Israel. (8 p.m. PBS/10)
“The Mindy Project”: The comedy picks up where we left off, when Mindy and Danny finally realized they’ve got a thing for each other. But then what happens? (9 p.m. Fox/12)
“Justified”: After last week’s shooting, Raylan has more reason than ever to go after that creep, Daryl Crowe, Jr. (10 p.m. FX)
“Inside Amy Schumer”: A new season of sketch comedy that’s not afraid to be risqué -– well, this is Comedy Central, after all. (10:30 p.m. Comedy Central)
WEDNESDAY
“American Idol”: Yes, it’s still on, even though when was the last time you heard anybody talking about it? (8 p.m. Fox/12)

THURSDAY
“Portlandia”: Music turns up in several of the sketches, including Peter (Fred Armisen) wanting to get his old band back together; and Fred and Carrie (Carrie Brownstein) meet up after a concert. (7 and 10 p.m. IFC)
“Once Upon a Time in Wonderland”: In the season finale (and, I’m guessing, the series finale) Alice and the White Rabbit try and rouse an army to battle Jafar. And that sentence explains why I haven’t been watching this show. (8 p.m. ABC/2)
“The Big Bang Theory”: Raj faces a choice between dating two women, and Sheldon debates between which gaming system to use. (8 p.m. CBS/6)
“Beat Bobby Flay”: In an episode titled, “Eat, Flay, Love,” caterer Kimberly Van Kline and chef Christopher Lee try to beat Bobby Flay. We assume this has to do with cooking, not personal assault. (10 p.m. Food Channel)
FRIDAY
“Whose Line Is It, Anyway?”: Darren Criss, of “Glee,” is a guest for more improvisational antics. (8 p.m. The CW/3)
“Unforgettable”: CBS dusts off this long-absent series, starring Poppy Montgomery as a cop with an incredible memory. Maybe she can remember where things left off. I sure can’t. (8 p.m. CBS/6)
“Raising Hope”: The series finale airs in two back-to-back episodes. (9 p.m. Fox/12)
“Grimm”: As we saw in the teaser for this episode, it looks like Nick’s mom (Mary-Elizabeth Mastrantonio) finally shows up again, brought in to help Adalind and her baby escape. Monroe and Rosalee, meanwhile, are planning their nuptials, and speaking of that, weren’t Nick and Juliette supposed to get hitched before all those bad things happened a while back? (9 p.m. NBC/8)
