MIDDLEBORO — He's been seen nationally on FOX, PBS, NBC's Today Show and alongside Jim Henson's Muppets. His live performances have taken him to 31 states and 13 countries. And back by popular demand, the next stop for professional magician and comedian Matt Roberts will be the 4th annual elementary spaghetti supper sponsored by the HBB PTA for a special presentation of his amazing live magic show, "Laughs and Illusions," on March 21 at the Henry B. Burkland School.

During this dynamic, family-friendly live performance, audiences of all ages will not only witness astonishing original illusions, clean comedy and skillful sleight-of-hand but will also become part of the show as spectators are brought on stage to have their minds read, take part in making objects disappear and more. "Matt will perform new material this year in addition to some of the same illusions that left his Middleboro audience in awe when he performed at last year's Spaghetti Supper," said a spokesperson for the event.

"My show is very interactive, funny and amazing for audiences of all ages: couples, families, seniors; ages four to 94," said Mr. Roberts. "It's an affordable, clean show with something for everyone, a rarity in entertainment today. The whole family can come for less than a trip to the movies and have more fun by experiencing something live! You may even learn how to perform a magic trick."

Matt Roberts performs over 200 shows each year across the country. He is a favorite choice among fundraising groups, corporations and at Boston's 2500-seat Symphony Hall where he stars in an annual concert of music and magic. Audiences may recognize his face and voice from his appearances in over a dozen TV commercials. Most recently, Matt has been featured in multiple Wal-Mart commercials.

The funds raised at the spaghetti supper will go directly back to the students in the form of programs brought to the school to support and enrich student learning and success. In addition to the entertainment portion of the evening, the event will feature a spaghetti and meatball dinner donated by platinum sponsor Mamma Mia's of Carver, fresh salad donated by the Farmer's Outlet in Taunton and dessert donated and served by the Frosty Dog of Carver. There will also be a silent auction and lucky chance drawing, featuring many local business, as well as corporate and family donations.

New this year, guests at the spaghetti supper will be able to purchase wristbands good for unlimited visits to a high tech photo booth provided by New England Photo Booth. This exciting new component is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Team Dixon of Williams & Keller Real Estate. Families and their friends can don hats and boas as well as incorporate items from a large selection of props to enhance their photos.
