Charlie Sheen's bride-to-be has XXX-appeal

The first Mrs. Sheen was model Donna Peele from 1995 to 1996. Denise Richards was Mrs. Sheen No. 2, for two years, starting in 2002. Charlie's marriage to Brooke Mueller lasted three years from 2008 to 2011.

This should put Brett in good stead until at least 2018.

* Simon Cowell's girlfriend Lauren Silverman (no relation to Sarah) gave birth to Simon's son, Eric, on Friday.

* Ellen Page, who won the hearts of moviegoers as the pregnant teenager in the 2007 film "Juno," has come out as gay.

Alas, she does seem a bit small to play in the NFL.

* Patrick Dempsey's racing team has been selected to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Dempsey Racing said yesterday that its Porsche 911 GT3 RSR was accepted Thursday by Automobile Club de l'Ouest's selection committee to run in the GTE-Am class in the June race. The team was fourth last year.

* Johnny Depp has received the first-ever distinguished artisan award from the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild for his work in films like "Edward Scissorhands," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Alice in Wonderland."

Depp's honor was presented by his longtime collaborator and makeup artist Joel Harlow, who is nominated for an Oscar this year for Tonto-ing Depp up in "The Lone Ranger."

"This is a great honor, but glancing up at the screen I realize what a ridiculous thing I've done," joked Depp after clips of his work were shown.

"I mean seriously, why do they still give me jobs?" he added. "I've done a lot of things . . . I should probably apologize for a few, but I won't."

* Esteban Loaiza, former major-league pitcher and estranged husband of Jenni Rivera, is suing the owners of the plane that crashed in northern Mexico in December 2012, killing the Mexican-American pop star and six others.

Among other things, the suit claims that the pilots weren't licensed to fly paying passengers.

* A federal jury in Nashville, Tenn., has sided with Garth Brooks in a dispute with a former employee.

Brooks' California movie and TV production company, Red Strokes Entertainment, sued Lisa Sanderson claiming she failed to repay a $226,000 loan.

Sanderson, the former CEO of the production company, says the money was a gift. She testified that she and Brooks were once so close that they were like family. She also claimed that Brooks owed her a pension after the firm closed in 2010.

* Joel McHale ("Community," "The Soup") will host the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner on May 3.

* Classical-music wunderkind Gustavo Dudamel is facing the heat in his native Venezuela for not speaking out against embattled President Nicolas Maduro while holding a series of high-profile concerts there this week.

Dudamel, the 33-year-old musical director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, on Wednesday led a government-funded youth ensemble in a commemorative concert in downtown Caracas blocks away from where a student was killed hours earlier in anti-government protests. More concerts to celebrate the 39th anniversary of Venezuela's El Sistema musical-education program are scheduled this weekend, and Maduro is to meet Friday with American architect Frank Gehry to review plans for a concert hall being built in Dudamel's honor.

Although the maestro has not explicitly backed Maduro's government, some say that his silence implies support and that Dudamel has ignored an opportunity to take a moral stand.

Harvard econ prof Ricardo Hausmann, a former Venezuelan planning minister, said Dudamel has diminished his genius by failing to use his wealth and fame to speak out against the current government.

"He's a musical giant but a moral midget," Hausmann said.

* It was only two weeks ago that Bill Nye "The Science Guy" was in Kentucky debating evolution. Saturday, Jamie Coots, a snake-handling Kentucky pastor from the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name, who appeared on the National Geographic TV reality show "Snake Salvation," became another preacher to die after being bitten by a rattlesnake.

According to a news release from the Middlesboro Police Department, someone called first responders about 8:30 p.m. Saturday regarding a snakebite victim at a church.

When the ambulance arrived, they were told that Coots had gone home. Contacted there, Coots refused treatment because who needs Obamacare when you have . . . you know. Emergency workers left about 9 p.m. When they returned about an hour later, Coots was dead.

Survival of the fittest, indeed.
