A big crowd will turn out Saturday night to hear the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. But there are other notable music events happening around the mountains this weekend, including a couple of folk concerts, a Beatles tribute show and a Broadway stage blockbuster.

The symphony, conducted by Daniel Meyer, performs at 8 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. The program includes Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” and guest violinist Elena Urioste in Samuel Barber’s “Violin Concerto.” Call 254-7046. www.ashevillesymphony.org.

Folk duo Dana and Susan Robinson play at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Mountain Spirit Coffeehouse series at the Unitarian Universalist congregation, 1 Edwin Place. This is their first show there since the release of their latest recording, “American Hornpipe.” Call 545-2260. www.uuasheville.org.

Rock out with the Fab Four when the band 1964: The Tribute performs at 5 p.m. Sunday at the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee. Singer Sherri Lynn will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dobra Tea House, 78 N. Lexington Ave.
