Stamford residents Sal and Al LoBalbo, owners of LoBalbo Brothers Auto Body on Camp Avenue in Stamford, spent some time with former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson at Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Ledyard on Jan. 24. Tyson appeared at the casino to promote his one-man show "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth," a tell-all story of his life.

Scene ... Greenwich resident Ron Howard was seen having dinner at Gabriele's Italian Steak House in Greenwich on Saturday, Jan. 25, as was former Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan.

Out there ... The YWCA and Junior League of Greenwich will present the screening of two films by Lee Hirsh, "The Bully Effect," and "Bystanders: Ending Bullying," on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Bow Tie Cinema on Railroad Avenue. The 2012 movies follow the stories of people who have been bullied and have turned their suffering into positive action and show how bystanders can help end bullying. Scene ... Stamford resident and NBC "Dateline" Correspondent Chris Hansen served as master of ceremonies at The Stamford Family YMCA's annual gala, "Fine Food For a Cause" to help fight childhood obesity last Monday night at The Palace Theatre in Stamford. The evening, which included dinner, live music and a live auction, honored Dr. Madhu Mathur, and Thomas Sanseverino, president of CAMSAN, for their support of the Y and contributions to children with health care needs. Participating restaurants included Barcelona, Bartaco, Columbus Park Trattoria, Forever Sweet Bakery, Napa & Company and Sweet Lisa's.

Out there ... An evening to benefit The Shelter For The Homeless, "Chocolate, Dessert & Wine Lover's Evening," takes place on Thursday Feb. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa on Tresser Boulevard. The Connecticut Playmakers of Greenwich is hosting a Big Band Valentine Dance and Concert on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. at the Italian Center in Stamford featuring music by the 17-piece band, The Fairfield Counts, featuring vocalist Michel Grace and a guest appearance by jazz pianist Chris Coogan. Proceeds from the event will benefit Abilis of Greenwich and the Connecticut Playmakers Greenwich High School senior scholarship fund. Scene ... Bedford, N.Y. residents Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones were seen having dinner with their children, Dylan and Carys, at Okinawa Japanese restaurant in Mount Kisco, N.Y. last week. The duo, who separated in August, is rumored to be working on their marriage.

Out there ... The Gin Blossoms will perform at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday at 8 p.m. The band, known for their songs "Follow You Down," "Until I Fall Away" and "Hey Jealousy," to name a few, will be joined by special guests Tommy and the High Pilots. For tickets ($45), call 203-438-5795.
