Hip hop artist Ludacris and hip hop/pop duo Timeflies will headline this year’s Live@Veishea celebration at Iowa State University.
Other performers for the two-day concert series include David Cook, Andy Grammer, Jamie Lynn Spears and Cassadee Pope. It takes place on the Friday and Saturday of Veishea weekend, April 11 and 12.
Tickets to Live@Veishea are available through MidwestTIX and are available to ISU students, faculty and staff who can purchase up to five tickets with the cost of $20 for one night or $25 for both. ISU alumni may purchase tickets through the ISU Alumni Association. After 4 p.m. Friday, April 11, tickets will be on sale at the concert for $25 for each night.

Timeflies
The hip hop/pop duo Timeflies released their debut album in 2011 and released their second EP album, “Warning Signs,” in October. The duo is best known for their songs “I Choose U,” “All the Way” and “Timeflies Tuesday,” which the artists release remixes, perform covers and freestyle.
Andy Grammer
The pop singer Andy Grammer returns to Iowa State for his first Veishea performance. He performed at the Maintenance Shop in January 2012. Grammer, who released his self-titled debut album in 2011, is best known for his songs “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine by Me.”
David Cook
David Cook was the winner of season seven of “American Idol” and has been received well since his debut self-titled album. His “Idol” coronation single, “The Time of My Life,” is the highest-selling coronation single in the long-running show’s history.
Down With Webster
The Canadian rap rock band Down with Webster released its self-titled debut album in 2007 and have since released two others — “Time to Win, Vol. 1” and “Vol. 2.” In October, the group, which first formed when the members were in middle school, released the single “Party for Your Life” from their upcoming album. The group was scheduled to play at Veishea in 2010 but had to back out.
Paradise Fears
The South Dakota alternative group Paradise Fears is comprised of six high school friends who chose the band over college. The group has released three albums and done covers of many popular songs, most notably Maroon 5’s “Payphone.”
Luke Christopher
Los Angeles-based rapper Luke Christopher has earned a large YouTube following for his songs like “On Fire,” “The Alphabet” and “The Social Network.”
Live@Veishea Saturday
Ludacris
The Atlanta hip hop artist has been present in popular music for more than a decade. He is known for his early hits “Southern Hospitality,” “Money Maker,” “Get Back,” “Stand Up” and more recent ones such as “Rest of My Life” and “Representing.” His upcoming album “LUDAVERSAL,” his eighth, is expected this summer. He has also turned to acting, performing in such films as “Crash” and the “Fast and the Furious” franchise.
Twenty One Pilots
The Ohio-based indie group Twenty One Pilots are best known for mixing indie with hip hop and punk music. The band’s top songs include “Car Radio” and “House of Gold.” They’ve released three albums since 2009; two were self-released.
Cassadee Pope
County music artist Cassadee Pope was the winner of season three of “The Voice” and has found solid success with her debut album, “Frame by Frame.” She has topped several country charts with it and songs such as “Wasting All These Tears.”
Jamie Lynn Spears
The 22-year-old country performer Jamie Lynn Spears, younger sister of popstar Britney Spears, released her first song “How Could I Want More” from her upcoming debut album in November. She is best known for the lead role in Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101,” which she left and put her career on hold when she became pregnant in 2008.
Cris Cab
The reggae rock artist Cris Cab first earned attention when he released his cover of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow.” He released his full-length mixtape, “Echo Boom,” in 2012, featuring the single “Good Girls.”
Sara Haze
County singer and California native Sara Haze has had her music featured in many movies and TV shows such as “The Hills,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “America’s Next Top Model” and “Safe Haven.” Her albums include “The Ladder,” “My Personal Sky” and “Things Better Left Unsaid.”

More entertainment acts that have been announced include return appearances from Veishea favorites Stevie “The Regurgitator” Starr and hypnotist Brian Imbus and other special events and guests.
Stars Over Veishea presents “Into the Woods” (7:30 p.m. April 4, 5, 11 and 12; 2 p.m. April 6 and 13)
ISU Theater’s production of the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine musical is about a childless baker and his wife wanting to start a family. It is full of characters from the Grimm fairytales, such as Cinderella, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood. Tickets are $24 for adults and $16 for ISU students.
David Koechner (10 p.m. April 12)
Comedian David Koechner is best known for his roles of Champ Kind in the two “Anchorman” movies, Todd Packer in “The Office” and his recurring role of Dick in “American Dad.” His performance, which will be at Stephens Auditorium, is free.
Outdoor movie (9 p.m. April 9)
To get in the mood for David Koechner, the outdoor movie this year will be a double feature of “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy” and its recent sequel, “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.” The comedies star Will Ferrell as an ambition anchorman in the male-dominated world of broadcast news. Feature performers include Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate.
Club Veishea (10 p.m. April 11 and 12)
This two-concert event of dance and electronic music will feature music from Shaun Frank on Friday, April 11. His most popular track is “Unbreakable.” The DJs for Saturday night will be announced later. The event is free.
Cyclone Idol with Kristian Bush (7 p.m. April 10)
Kristian Bush, of the county duo Sugarland, will serve as the judge for the final round in the student-singing competition Cyclone Idol. The event is free and will be available to stream online.
