An actress and rock singer set to bring her band to the Lehigh Valley has canceled the show and the whole tour.
Taylor Momsen, who at 20 is a veteran actress of nearly a dozen movies and for six years played Jenny Humphrey on The CW Network's "Gossip Girl," was to have performed with her band The Pretty Reckless on Feb. 13 at Maingate Nightclub in Allentown.
But Momsen has come down with acute laryngitis and walking pneumonia and has been "placed on vocal rest for the time being," a publicist for the tour said in an e-mail.
That move has canceled all 18 dates of the Snocore 2014 Tour, which also featured Heaven's Basement, The Letter Black and Crobot.
Momsen clearly was in vocal distress in a telephone interview Friday with Lehigh Valley Music for a story to advance the show. She croaked out answers and eventually completely lost her voice, forcing the interview to end.
Publicists for The Pretty Reckless and the Snocore Tour indicated the dates will be rescheduled later in the year.

Momsen portrayed Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 Jim Carey film "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" when she was just 7 years old. In 2002, was Gretel in the motion picture "Hansel and Gretel," and Alexandra, the President's daughter, in "Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams."
But her best-known role was in "Gossip Girl," which continued until December 2012. It got her nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Breakout Star: Female.
Since 2009 she has been the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for The Pretty Reckless, a New York-based hard rock group. The band played the Vans Warped Tour in 2010.
The band released its self-titled, debut EP in June 2010, and followed it with a full-length album, "Light Me Up," in August of that year. The disc hit No. 10 on the U.S. alternative chart and produced two Top 25 Rock Digital chart singles, "Make Me Wanna Die" and "Just Tonight."
The band released another EP, "Hit Me Like a Man," in March, and is expected to release a sophomore album, "Going to Hell," in March. A single off the upcoming disc, "Heaven Knows" has hit the Top 50 on the Rock Digital chart.
