Delta Trades and Technical Career Fair: Annual event to be held Thursday, April 24 at Sungod Recreation Centre (arena) in North Delta from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., featuring dozens of exhibitors. "Driving Miss Daisy": Play brought to Surrey Arts Centre's main stage by Arts Club Theatre Company, to Saturday, Jan. 25 at 13750 88th Ave., Surrey. "This Pulitzer Prizewinning drama follows the charming and moving adventures of a Southern matriarch and her chauffeur over their 25-year friendship, and reveals the power of the human heart to overcome prejudices and open itself to new possibilities." Artist Ed Pien's Shadow Player, a work incorporating audio, video, wood, paint, a mannequin, fabric and shoes, is featured in the "(Da bao)(Takeout)" exhibit, new to Surrey Art Gallery. Events celebrating the launch of the group exhibit, which explores "a cross-cultural and social dynamic between China and the West," are set for Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Bear Creek Park facility.
